Hello and Welcome

I am so grateful you have stopped by to find out a little bit more about me and my story! I’m delighted to have the opportunity to introduce myself to you.

Allow me to share a little bit about who I am and the work I do. If I had to describe who I am, I’d say I’m a bit of an idealist and a dreamer, but with a healthy dose of reality mixed in. I absolutely love what I do, which is sharing my knowledge and supporting others as they embrace their true selves and unlock their possibilities in the most powerful ways.

As a woman, a mother, a child, a partner, a counsellor, I have endured, seen and explored the depths of trauma, both within myself and with others through my work. For me personally, it took some time to embrace my own vulnerability through the experience of my own trauma, grief and pain, to now seeing my strengths in profound and surprising ways. These experiences have instilled in me a genuine desire to provide a safe and nurturing space for others as they navigate their own struggles and triumphs.

I am a trauma-informed Counsellor with postgraduate qualifications in Counselling, training in EMDR and Clinical Hypnotherapy. I am passionate about learning and growing in a way that allows me to support you in ways that nurture your wellbeing and create the possibilities that you deserve. I have undergone training in various areas including trauma and anxiety, childhood trauma, perinatal loss and bereavement, fertility, and weight management. I am committed to continuous professional and personal development to ensure that my clients receive the highest level of care possible. I am a proud member of professional bodies such as the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA), Australian Counselling Association (ACA), Hypnotherapy Council of Australia (HCA), and the Guild of Australian Hypnotists (GOAH).

Over the past 14 years, I have worked in diverse counselling roles and in the education sector, supporting individuals, couples, families, and groups in making positive changes in their lives. My expertise spans childhood abuse trauma, complex trauma, grief and loss, family and domestic violence, depression and anxiety, fears and phobias, addictions, fertility, and relationship counselling. I utilize a variety of techniques derived from the various areas of my training, enabling meaningful and lasting transformations. They empower and invigorate and are transformative. Mostly though, these changes are everything that is you, the parts of you that have been hidden.

My passion lies in creating a heart-centered space for my clients to explore, allowing their creativity to flourish and helping them establish a strong connection with themselves as the foundation for their lives and livelihoods. I’m truly dedicated to helping people from all walks of life achieve the lives they truly desire. I’m thrilled to be a part of your journey, and I’m excited to work with you to discover your inner strength and create positive transformations in your life. Remember, you are capable of incredible things, and I’m here to support you every step of the way.

With warmth and compassion,

Jo Lauren

Meet Miss Remi Grace

This is Remi!  She has been coming into my practice since she was 8 weeks old and spending quality time with my beautiful clients.  She is always learning how to support people and help them feel comfortable.  She is very attuned to feelings and loves to have a cuddle and a belly tickle, but also likes to curl up and have a snooze while we talk.

Clinical Hypnotherapy, when practiced collaboratively, can help you overcome obstacles and discover strategies to live a life aligned with your true desires and reach your full potential.

You show the world that you can manage it all, taking care of everybody else, always looking happy and content.  At the same time, you feel unseen, misunderstood and even a little lost.

There are many issues that may impact a relationship including communication problems, trust issues, infidelity, sexual difficulties, financial disagreements, and differences in parenting styles.
